After the arrest of Comedian Bharti Singh and her husband Harsh Limbachiya, NCB took them to the court. On Sunday, the megistrate court sent them to Judicial Custody for 14 days till 4th December, 2020.

After that, both husband-wife sent to different jails in Mumbai. Comedian Bharti Singh sent to Byculla Jai while her husband Harsh Limbachiya sent to Taloja Jail. They will have to stay there till 4th December or bails approval.
Today i.e. on 23rd November 2020, a Mumbai Court will conduct a hearing on the bail pleas of Bharti and Harsh. In which, NCB will file replies on their bail pleas.
As per news sources, Public Prosecutor Atul Sarpande is busy in hearings to two other cases in session court. So, they will not be able to attend the hearing of bail plea of Bharti Singh and Harsh Limbachiya. However, they will submit their points infront of court and demands the extension of date till Tuesday for hearing on bail plea.
Advocate Ayaz Khan said that the seized drugs which is 86.5 gm is small quantity and all offences punishable with a imprisonment for a term of upto one years or a fine or both.
We want to inform you that Harsh and Bharti Singh arrested under the NDPS Act for illegal possession and consumption of Ganja. NCB has detained 86.5 gm of Ganja from their home and office.
The quantum of sentence and fine differs with the offense. In most cases, the punishment depends on the quantity of drugs involved. It is divided into three categories i.e. Small Quantity, More than Small but less than Commercial Quantity, and Commercial Quantity of drugs.
As per Experts Opinion, upto 1 Kg of Ganja is considered as Small Quantity. More than 1 kg but less than 20 kg is considered in Intermediate Category. While 20 Kg and more quantity of Ganja is considered to be the Commercial quantity.
So, the crime of Bharti Singh and Harsh Limbachiya comes under the procurement and consumption of a small quantity of cannabis.
