Shantipriya is the younger sister of Bhanupriya who is also an actress. She had the biggest tragedy when her husband died in 2004 due to a heart attack.

Actress Shantipriya was born on 22nd September 1969. She was born in Rajamahendravaram, Andhra Pradesh, India. Her age as in 2020 in 50 years. Priya’s father’s name is Pandu Babu and his mother name is Ragamali. She has a sister Bhanupriya (Actress) and a brother Gopalakrishnan.

Actress Shantipriya married Siddharth Ray in 1999. Siddharth was the grandson of V. Shantaram and has acted in films such as Baazigar and Vansh. After some years they became the parents of two sons Shubham Ray and Shishya Ray.  Before Ray died of a massive heart attack in 2004, at the age of only 40. Priya survived with a lot of pain and that time both of her two sons were less than four years.

Shantipriya recently opened up about an incident that took place during the shoot of their film. She said she had to wear short clothes because it was a requirement of the film and Akshay Kumar had commented on her skin tone. Priya said that Akki joked about her knees darker than usual.

In an interview, she said Even though it was a joke, I felt quite uncomfortable. The incident remained in the depths of my mind and I cried a lot over it but never applied any fairness cream on my face.
