The photo went viral. Under the pressure from Media, Delhi Police registered the case and filed a charge sheet against Sarvjeet Singh under the IPC section 354A (Sexual harassment), 506 (Punishment for criminal intimidation) and 509 (Word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman).

The court while absolving Singh, watched, “In the present case, the complainant has made material upgrades in her statements. The declaration of the complainant isn’t reliable and gives occasion to feel qualms about genuine the instance of the arraignment. In addition, the spot of the episode was an open street and expected to be crowded at the hour of the occurrence and no open observer was inspected in the present case.”
“This non-assessment of the observers who could have upheld the instance of the arraignment gives occasion to feel qualms about genuine the instance of the indictment in the current conditions when the version of the complainant is suspicious,” it included.
Metropolitan Magistrate Sonam Gupta in the wake of closing the preliminary saw that prosecution failed to prove the case beyond reasonable doubts and acquitted Sarvjeet from all charges.

The bitter story of Sarvjeet Singh and Jasleen Kaur started four years ago. In the year 2015, Sarvjeet Singh, a resident of Tilak Nagar, Delhi was at the red light near Aggarwal Sweets at Tilak Nagar. From there, he had to take a left turn. At this, Jasleen Kaur stopped him and others saying that they are helping control the traffic. Sarvjeet said he is not jumping the red light, the left side is free, and its up to you if you want to jump the signal.
At this, Jasleen took out her phone and started clicking the pics of Sarvjeet Singh and his bike. She screamed at him saying that she will go to the police tomorrow and you will get arrested from your house.
On 23rd August 2015, Jasleen Kaur uploaded the photo of Sarvjeet Singh on her facebook profile. She accused Sarvjeet for passing Obscene comments and threatening her. She wrote in her post that Sarvjeet said, “Jo kar sakti hai kar le. Complaint karke dikha, fir dekhiyo kya karta hun main”.
