Actress Pooja was born on 8th November 1991. She was born in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. Her age as in 2020 in 28 years. Pooja belongs to a Bengali family. Her father’s name is Neil Banerjee and his mother’s name is Poornima Banerjee. She has a brother Akash Banerjee.

Education: She attended Centre point School, Nagpur, Maharashtra. After that, she went to Hislop College, Nagpur, Maharashtra. She is graduated in Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) and M.A in English Literature.

Banerjee is married to Olympian swimmer Sandeep Sejwal. He won a bronze medal in 50m breaststroke at the 2014 Asian games held in Incheon. He was awarded the Arjuna award by then president of India Pranab Mukherjee. Pooja and Sandeep is 4th standard friend. The lovebird had walked down the aisle on February 28, 2017, and since then they are giving us couple goals.

She is a national level swimmer and an athlete. Pooja swam 5 km sea race at the Arabian Sea and 14 Km river race at the River Hooghly. In 2011, she participated in the reality tv show MTV Roadies season 8.

In 2019, she along with her husband participated in the dance reality show ‘Nach Baliye’ as a wild card contestant. In 2012, she got the lead role of Tejal in the Tv show Ek Doosre Se Karte Hain Pyaar Hum.

In September 2019, Pooja got injuring while rehearsing for her performance in Nach Baliye 9. While practicing the dance moves, she slipped, lost her balance and fell on the ground from 10 feet above. Later, the actress took to Instagram to updates her fans about her health.
